Nokia is now pushing updated Windows Phone 7.8 firmware 8862 for the Nokia Lumia 710. This new update fixes the live tile bug that plagued the Lumia 710 since its official Windows Phone 7.8 update, where live tiles did not update properly.
While HTC has been silent about whether it would be giving the 7 Pro users an update to Windows Phone 7.8, you can yourself install it on your phone now, if you want. Later on, if HTC does releases official update to its users, you can just flash the official ROM and get that update via Zune anyway. This custom firmware also features Nokia marketplace, giving you access to Nokia’s Lumia-exclusive apps like Nokia Drive, Nokia Music Camera extras and so on.

Nokia has made it clear that it will continue to sell Windows Phone 7 phones even after the introduction of WP8. In fact, its upcoming Lumia 510 has just surfaced on China’s telecom certification board with these specs – 4 inch screen, WVGA resolution, 5 mega pixel camera and 256MB RAM. There is no information on its storage capacity but we are expecting it to either 4GB or 8GB.
Leaked pictures have already given us enough proof that the HTC 8X will be coming to the Verizon and now, even HTC’s own promotional video has given us a strong hint that this is indeed coming to the aforementioned network provider.

Samsung will soon be releasing the ATIV S Windows Phone 8 soon, but its first generation Windows Phone, the Focus and Omnia 7 will not be receiving the update due to hardware restrictions. However, they will be updated to Windows Phone 7.8 which the manufacture will be rolling out in couple of months.

Folks at xda have posted a procedure that allow you go back to the original / OEM firmware of a particular network provider. You can use their ROMs to restore your Nokia Lumia 900 windows phone to the original OEM factory specifications. You will need Nokia Care suit to flash the ROMs.
Folks at XDA did it again. The ROM developer behind deep shining ROM has rolled out a Tango ROM (firmware version 8773). Other notable features of this include Internet sharing, developer unlock (relocking prevented by future updates). The ROM has support for 25 languages; has 13 themes and 19 accents.
